October 22, 2025 – Daikin U.S. Corporation today released its 2025 Business and Innovation Report, a comprehensive overview of the company's expanding American footprint, technological leadership, and integrated approach to addressing the nation's most pressing environmental and energy challenges. The report arrives as Daikin marks more than 30 years of growth in the United States, establishing the country as both its largest employee base and largest region globally.
"This report tells the story of Daikin's commitment to America, from our highly skilled and growing workforce to our robust manufacturing presence and R&D network,” said Yoshiyuki Uemura, President of Daikin U.S. Corporation. “Our substantial investments have positioned us to serve the real-world needs of American homes and businesses, while our true commitment to service has allowed us to establish deep roots in the communities where our people live and work.”
The report focuses on five core themes: American Impact; Innovation; Sustainability; Community; and Comfort for All. It details Daikin's remarkable American expansion, which has seen the company grow its U.S. workforce by 2.3 times since 2015 to more than 25,000 employees. This growth has been fueled by more than $9 billion in total investment across 25 manufacturing plants, nine R&D centers, and a nationwide network of local distributors, sales representatives and independent contractors.
This year's milestone achievements include the landmark 15-year naming-rights partnership to brand the Houston Astros’ home field as Daikin Park as of January 1, 2025. The partnership between Daikin and the Houston Astros opens up additional opportunities for Daikin to give back to the Greater Houston community, including educational programming and fostering youth sports development in underserved communities. The report also highlights Daikin's strategic expansion into mission-critical data center cooling solutions, including the August 2025 acquisition of DDC Solutions and the introduction of the industry's largest capacity chiller, the Magnitude® WME-C Quad.
Central to the report is Daikin's three-pillar strategy to support American energy resilience and help further decarbonize buildings. The strategy encompasses: technology leadership; lifecycle solutions focused on comprehensive environmental impact; and implementation through coordinated policy frameworks.
The report highlights Daikin's global Environmental Vision 2050, which has already achieved a 27% reduction in net greenhouse gas emissions in FY24 compared to business as usual (as of 2019). The company is accelerating toward its 30% reduction target by 2025 and 50% by 2030, with the ultimate goal of net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2050.
Beyond environmental commitments, the report showcases Daikin's community engagement and the company's People-Centered Management philosophy that places employee development and diversity at the core of its corporate culture.
