Daikin Industries, Ltd. today announces its donation of 200 oxygen concentrators to India where the lack of medical oxygen due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 infections has become a critical issue.
Daikin has decided to donate its oxygen concentrators in hopes of reducing the burden on the local medical system and saving the lives of as many people as possible. Oxygen concentrators support human breathing by extracting high-concentration oxygen from the air and are commonly used in home medical care under the direction of doctors. The 200 Daikin oxygen concentrators will be delivered sequentially from the end of this month to public and private hospitals in the vicinity of its factory in Neemrana, Rajasthan, and religious facilities operated by local governments as makeshift COVID-19 medical centers.
