The report includes the overall approach of the Daikin Group for contributing to the realization of a sustainable society through its business and technological innovation, along with its fiscal 2022 results and plans for the future.

Seeing these societal changes as a need and opportunity, Daikin set forth its Environmental Vision 2050, which aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. It also established “Challenge to Achieve Carbon Neutrality” as a growth strategy theme in its strategic management plan, Fusion 25, making its target goals for 2025.

In addition to existing measures, Daikin launched new measures in its latter-half three-year plan for Fusion 25 that included "Achieve net zero CO2 emissions at air conditioning business bases by 2030" and "Promote conversion to heat pumps in the European heating market." In this way, it looks to focus even further on businesses that contribute to the realization of carbon neutrality, while aiming to achieve both growth of the Daikin Group and contribution to a sustainable society.
